1. Buckland Bridge
Buckland Bridge: The road to, and parking at this site, is very easy and can be accessed in 2WD vehicle. The bank slope is steep and the bank access to the water is good. There are picnic tables and fireplaces in a well maintained area with good tree cover. The turn off to this site is 73.5km south-east of Wangaratta along the Great Alpine Highway. The access point (or parking) is a further 12.8km south-west of Porepunkah, along the Buckland Valley Road. The target species is trout.
2. Ah Youngs Campsite
Ah Youngs Campsite: The road to this site is accessible in a 2WD vehicle in any weather conditions. Access to the site and parking for a 2WD is dry weather only. The bank slope is flat and the bank access to the water is considered hard due to a long walk, but once there the access is moderate. This site has a very well maintained camping area with toilets and fireplaces. The turn off to this site is located 73.5km south-east Wangaratta along the Great Alpine Highway. The access point (or parking) is a further 18.7km south-west or Porepunkah, along the Buckland Valley Road. The target species is trout.
3. Campflat
Campflat: The road to this site is accessible in a 2WD vehicle in any weather condition, however access and parking at this site should only be attempted by 4WD. There is a river crossing involved and steep hills. The bank slope is flat and the bank access to the water is moderate. Camping is permitted at this site and there are fireplaces. There is large tree cover and large camping grounds. The turn off to this site is located 73.5km south-east of Wangaratta along the Great Alpine Highway. The access point (or parking) is a further 20.2km south-west of Porepunkah, along the Buckland Valley Road. The target species is trout.
4. Buckland Junction Bridge
Buckland Junction Bridge: The road to this site is accessible in a 2WD vehicle in any weather condition, however access and parking at this site should only be attempted in a 2WD vehicle in the dry. The bank slope is between flat and moderate and the bank access to the water is moderate. There are no facilities available. The turn off to this site is located 73.5km south-east of Wangaratta along the Great Alpine Highway. The access point (or parking) is a further 23.6km south-west of Porepunkah, along the Buckland Valley Road. The target species is trout.
