Trout opening festivals

Bigger and better than ever, the Fishing Festivals at Goulburn and Ballarat are on again!

On Saturday 7 September 2024, come and celebrate the opening of trout season in streams and rivers, and the great freshwater fishing opportunities in Victoria.

There will be fun and exciting activities for the whole family, including opportunities to stock trout, chat with Fisheries Officers, and fishing and fly casting clinics.

And it's all FREE!

These events are part of the State Government's Go Fishing Victoria plan for recreational fishing, which aims to get more Victorians fishing, more often.
