Rocklands Metery Competition
To celebrate the success of our record-breaking fish stocking effort at Rocklands Reservoir, we’re offering a $1000 tackle prize to the first person who catches a metre Murray cod there.
We’ve stocked over 2.7 million cod into Rocklands since 2017 and lots of those have grown up and are now getting caught. They’re on top of nearly 1.5 million golden perch we’ve stocked too, by the way!
The competition opens on 28 November 2023 so pack the tent, hitch up the caravan, and plan a trip to Rocklands Reservoir this summer to be in with a chance to win.
Best of all, there’s no closed season for Murray cod at Rocklands so this competition will run 12 months a year until someone lands the metery!
The lucky angler who takes out the prize can spend their winnings at one of several Wimmera fishing tackle shops.
We acknowledge that the winning cod is bigger than the slot limit of 55-75cm so read the terms and conditions about how we’d like anglers to measure the metery whilst Caring for Cod, taking photos and submitting their claim.
