Stronger Fishing Clubs Grant Program

Round One

We want to strengthen fishing clubs and help them attract new members, improve their facilities, and promote participation amongst all ages and abilities because we know wetting a line in the great outdoors is good for people’s wellbeing and their relationships.

That’s why the State Government is bringing back the Stronger Fishing Clubs Grant Program, this time with grants of up to $10,000 per club.

The program is funded by recreational fishing licence fees, with grants awarded to the following fishing clubs in round one.

Round two will open in the second half of 2024 to angling clubs and associations for projects like:

  • fishing tuition for multicultural groups, women, first nations people and all-abilities
  • open days at the club
  • member training and events involving the public
  • guest speaker nights
  • upgrades of club IT
  • club website development
  • clubroom improvements
  • equipment that will benefit all members.
