Join us for our annual Snobs Creek Hatchery Open Day!
This is a great opportunity for the public to tour the facility, ask questions of expert staff, feed trout and view plans for the new conservation hatchery and Macquarie perch captive breeding centre to grow and stock more threatened species.

This event is your exclusive opportunity to tour our hatchery, which is usually closed to the public, at your own pace.
There'll also be dedicated experts on hand to guide you through this special place while answering all your questions about the growing and stocking of trout and native fish species all across Victoria.
There will be fun and exciting activities for the whole family, including:
- Self-guided tours of the Snobs Creek hatchery
- Trout cooking and filleting demonstrations
- Short film about the hatchery in our theatre with free popcorn
- Kids educational activities
- View plans for the new conservation hatchery and Macquarie perch captive breeding centre

- Experts on hand to answer your fishy questions
- Hear from staff from the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action on the work being done to protect threatened native fish

- Take a selfie with the big fish sculpture at the front of the hatchery
