Rippleside Jetty

Geelong’s Rippleside Jetty is now safer and more accessible thanks to your recreational fishing licence fees.

A Recreational Fishing Licences Grant of more than $16,000 has been used by the City of Greater Geelong for improvements to the popular fishing spot.

The works, completed in December 2019, included better seating, new decking and access ladders.

The upgrade makes it easier for fishers without boats to target a range of species including King George whiting, silver trevally, salmon and snapper.

The jetty is a popular fishing location in Geelong, given its close proximity to the CBD and the adjacent Rippleside Park.

The jetty provides access to Corio Bay, which is now net free.
