This was the 33rd meeting of the Recreational Fishing Grants Working Group.
Key items discussed included:

Assessment of 2017/18 RFGP commissioning grant applications
The RFGWG indicated its willingness to support the two commissioning bids that were received in this round for the full amounts requested:
- $140,000 for ‘Informing sustainable management and optimisation of Victoria’s wild catch marine and estuarine recreational fisheries.
- -$219,055.95 for Communication and Compliance Products.
Assessment of 2017/18 RFGP large grant applications
The Working Group were presented with the results of the qualitative assessments which showed how each of the 37 large grant applications have been collectively scored by the group and how they ranked in order.
This was followed by comment and discussion in regard to each of the 37 applications. It was decided that further information was required on some of the applications before the Working Group can make their final recommendations.
