Assessment of 2015/16 RFGP Commissioning grant application
There was consensus amongst the RFGWG that a commissioning bid from The Victorian Fisheries Authority for the production of a range of communication and compliance products, should be supported for the requested $192,674.43, subject to approval by the Minister of Agriculture.
Assessment of 2015/16 RFGP Large grant applications
The Working Group agreed to recommend 17 of the 39 applications that were received to be funded for a total of $989,004.14 from the RFL Trust Account, subject to approval by the Minister of Agriculture.
2014/15 Commissioning Grant – Variation request
The Working Group were updated on the expenditure of this commissioning grant and were informed that savings have been made by decreasing the print run of saltwater sticker rulers from 100,000 to 80,000 and achieving a saving of $2,286.50 on the printing of the 2016 Recreational Fishing Guide. The Working Group approved the printing of additional Murray cod rulers which were out of stock due to high demand.
Stronger Fishing Clubs Grants – Progress
The Working Group were informed that over 25 applications had been received during the first few weeks of this new program with a good mix of different projects from clubs across the whole of the State.
