Rainbow Lake Jetty

The transformation of Rainbow Lake continues thanks to your fishing licence fees, with the Hindmarsh Shire Council installing a 12-metre fishing jetty at the southern end of the lake, making fishing safer and more accessible for anglers of all ages and abilities.

This new jetty includes handrails and rod holders, and there’s an accessible pathway, making sure everyone in the community can enjoy Rainbow Lake!

Back in 2018-19, we provided the council and GWM Water with a grant to turn this decommissioned water reservoir into a place that locals can fish kayak.

We’ve also been stocking Rainbow Lake with catchable sized rainbow trout for the July and September school holidays.

All of this work has made Rainbow Lake a true community asset, and a great product of team effort and your licence fee reinvestment.
