Lake Colac 'Catch a Carp' Festival

The popular and FREE Colac 'Catch a Carp' Festival is coming BACK to Lake Colac on Sunday 13 September!

Fishers and families looking for a day in the great outdoors can look forward  to a family-friendly, fun-filled day dedicated to tackling one of Victoria’s most damaging aquatic pest species.

Based at the Lake Colac foreshore, the event will include a 'Catch a Carp' competition (with prizes available!), free kids fishing clinics and activities, market stalls, cooking demonstrations featuring carp in a range of delicious recipes and more.

It's a unique opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, learn about the impacts carp have on aquatic habitats, and play a role in reducing carp in Victorian waterways. Carp are a declared noxious aquatic pest and fishers play an important role in helping reduce their numbers.
