The Victorian Fisheries Authority is seeking feedback on the draft Fisheries (Rock Fishing Safety) Notice 2025.

This document proposes to extend the trial laws mandating the use of lifejackets at 10 high-risk rock fishing zones for a further 12 months.

Victorian Eastern Zone Abalone fishery

2025/2026 Total Allowable Commercial Catch (TACC)

The VFA is seeking feedback on the draft further abalone quota orders (FAQO) and Fisheries (Eastern Abalone Zone) Notice for 2025/26.

These documents outline the Total Allowable Commercial Catch (TACC) for Blacklip Abalone in the Eastern Abalone Zone for the 2025/26 season which begins on 1 April 2025 and ends 30 March 2026.
