Social media terms of use
The beauty of fishing is that it is for everyone, and that includes here online. Our social media platforms are places for all fishers where your passion and enthusiasm is encouraged and welcomed.
We love seeing you have your say and we’re happy to answer fishing questions you have, but ask that any discussion is conducted in a respectful way to other fishers and your VFA team members.
We want everyone to feel safe, which includes users not unfairly targeting other individuals, making discriminatory or offensive statements and avoiding the use of profanities. We kindly ask that you avoid using links that infringe upon the rights of others or content that promotes other brands, products or services.
The VFA reserves the right to delete comments and to ban users who do not adhere to these guidelines. We’re happy to take your questions and do our best to find an answer, but messages through our social media platforms are not considered official correspondence. To report illegal fishing, please contact 13FISH (13 3474) any time.
Please don’t share personal information like your fishing licence number. If you need to perform a transaction with us, please email contactus@vfa.vic.gov.au.
We thank you for your continued investment and interest in fishing and look forward to seeing you on or near the water soon!
