Fishing and camping improvement grants round open

16 September 2021

The Recreational Fishing and Camping Facilities Grant Program contributes $1.7 million in grants to local councils to deliver successful project applications.

Through the Recreational Fishing and Camping Facilities Grant Program, locals and visitors will also receive more opportunities to fish in our rivers and along our coastline.

The program also aligns with the Victorian Government’s $35 million plan to get more people fishing more often, with groups and local councils already able to apply for funding from the VFA and Better Boating Victoria.

These grants are on offer to improve fish habitat, fish stocking, maintain or build facilities and infrastructure at popular fishing and boating locations.

Rolled out by the Victorian Fisheries Authority (VFA), the VFA is also support local councils throughout the process to ensure strong applications that relate directly to recreational fishing, boating, and camping.

Funded by the Commonwealth Government, submissions for the Recreational Fishing and Camping Facilities Grant Program are open, and applications will be accepted from councils until 3 December 2021.
