Draft Further Quota Order for Snapper

The VFA is seeking feedback on the proposed Fisheries Notice & Further Quota Order that intends to maintain the current management arrangements put in place via the current Fisheries (Westernport/Port Phillip Bay Catch Limits) Notice 2024, which allowed:

2 tonne per licence of combined catch for species other than snapper and shark.

1 tonne per licence of gummy or school shark.

Zero catch of King George Whiting, calamari, kingfish and mulloway.

The draft Further Quota Order for snapper, proposes to continue to set the total allowable commercial catch (TACC) for snapper in this fishery at 88 tonnes.
