VFA Fishiest 100

VFA Fishiest 100 is a celebration of fishing and water themed tunes, and the songs anglers love to listen to when they’re on the water. Whether they are contemporary tracks or music from yesteryear, this is a chance for anglers to share the beats that get their toes tapping!

We want to know what music YOU love listening while out on the water, hanging on the bank or cooking up your catch of the day.

How does the campaign work?

We ask that people to nominate their favourite water/fish themed songs, or tunes they love to listen to on the water, in the comments of this post on our Facebook page.

The first 200 valid song nominations put forward on our VFA Fishiest 100 Facebook post will be added to a list which we will open for people to vote on via our Survey Monkey poll.

Voting will end on 22 February.

After voting ends we will then compile our VFA Fishiest 100 playlist based on the poll results.

We will announce the VFA Fishiest 100 playlist on Facebook and publish and make it available through Spotify on 28 February.

Important competition dates

1 February - Nominating songs for the VFA Fishiest 100 opens, via this post. Only the first 200 valid song nominations will be added to the wider voting poll.

22 February - Voting closes

28 February - Final VFA Fishing 100 playlist is released via Spotify

Important notes

Our VFA Fishiest 100 borrows from Triple J’s Hottest 100 campaign. However, unlike Hottest 100 we’re asking our audience to tell us and vote on their fave fishy and water themed tracks or songs they love to play on the water.

The VFA or the Fishiest 100 are in NO way sponsored or endorsed by the ABC.
