Changes to fishing licence fees

Annually on July 1, recreational fishing licence fees are slightly increased, in accordance with CPI. (Given the impact of coronavirus on Victorian families, the State Government has frozen a range of fees, including recreational fishing licence fees, for the 2020/21 year).

This year, these changes will affect 28 day, 1 year and 3 year fishing licences, by approximately 2.5%.

3 day licences will remain at $10, to continue to encourage more beginners to try fishing.

The tables below outline the changes in fees, and the differences in price to purchase a licence in person at an outlet, or online.
