Expo door prizes competition - terms & conditions

1. The Ultimate Fishing Expo Random Prizes Draw (Door Prize Draws) is being conducted by the Victorian Fisheries Authority (VFA) ABN 60 297 360 647.
2. Entry is open to people attending the Ultimate Fishing Expo on 18-19 February 2023 aged 18 and over and entrants aged under 18 who have the permission of their parent or guardian to participate (Eligible Entrants).
3. Employees and contractors of VFA (including their immediate families) are ineligible to enter.
4. The Promotion commences with draws starting from 11am on Saturday 18 February and closes with the final door prize drawn at 5pm on Sunday 19 February (Promotion End Date).
5. The VFA reserves the right to suspend the promotion at any time in line with the Governments COVID 19 health advice, or other health and safety requirements.
6. VFA will be setting up promotional posters at the Ultimate Fishing Expo event with QR codes.
7. To potentially win a prize, Eligible Entrants must scan the QR code and entering personal details on the relevant website link before 4.45pm on Sunday 19 February.

Prizes

8. There will be a variety of prizes drawn, ranging from fishing related products to fishing experiences. Prizes that are fishing related products will be presented immediately to the winners, or mailed to them at a later date if they are not present at the draw.
9. Prize winners do not need to be in attendance at the Expo at the time of the draw and will be contacted afterwards if not present.
10. All entries (unless otherwise indicated by the Eligible Entrant) go into the major prizes draw at 3pm on Sunday 19 February, with the major prize being a half day’s fishing experience with VFA Ambassador Bachar Houli.
11. Fishing Experience prizes, including the major prize, have the following specific conditions attached.
    1. Additional Terms for Fishing Experience Prizes
       1. VFA will provide Fishing Experience prize winners with a Prize Claim Declaration Form to be filled in by the winner, which will validate the prize, provide contact details and proposed dates for the Fishing Experience, and agreement to these terms and conditions.
       2. A mutually convenient date for all parties will be selected; the prize must be redeemed no later than Sunday 30 April.
       3. If a mutually convenient date cannot be determined before this date, the competition prize will have expired.
       4. No alcohol is permitted during a Fishing Experience prize, nor people under the effect of alcohol.  Prize winners must follow all required safety instructions.
       5. The VFA reserves the right to cancel a Fishing Experience in case of poor behaviour by a participant or extreme weather.
       6. A condition of entry for all participants is should they win a prize they agree to be potentially interviewed by the VFA, with an accompanying photo on the VFA’s social media platforms.
12. The VFA reserves the right refuse to award a prize to any individual who VFA reasonably believes has breached any of these terms or engaged in any unlawful or other improper conduct in participating in the Competition.

Use of Entrant Information

13. VFA will collect and use entrants’ personal information in conducting the Competition in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
14. VFA may also use Eligible Entrants’ personal information for reasonable promotional, marketing, publicity and research purposes, including sending electronic messages to, or telephoning, any entrant.
